Take a Historical Trip
When it comes to reading, we all have our diverse interest. Personally I love to read more of biographies and autobiographies. I am not much a fan of fiction based historical books but I will read anything that is a personal account of a great event in the past. For people like me who love ‘real history’, the best way to know more, learn and have fun is travelling to great historic locations. Practical history, nothing beats it! There are things you see or even hear in these great places that you don’t come across in any book. This could also be a good experience for those who do not really fancy history but have reasons (like academic demands) to go through it regularly. Who knows, you may end up being a big fan after taking an educative vacation.
It is easy to plan one and if you will be visiting locations around Europe for example, researching phone networks with the best roaming prices will be important since you don’t want to be changing numbers every time. Check the internet for credible agencies, cheap accommodation like breakfast and bed. I don’t have to tell you to go with cameras but do not forget your writing pad and pen. It doesn’t have to be a big note book; a small pad will do because you will always have something new to jot down. I am not going to advertise any location, agencies or bed spaces but make sure you go to where you have been longing to see; where you have heard so much about through internet reviews, books or by word of mouth. Your key to enjoying a historical trip is to plan everything. Plan to have some fun as well.
